Rehoboth Baptist Church Re-Zoning

The impact on our road by the church is already great. Any business that operated daily would be even more detrimental as the church property has four exits on to our road.

We have always shared access to our road with the church. With the changes the GDOT has made we now share access with a Hospital as well.

The hospital entrance has become a cut through to the back lots of the church with very little regard to the residents of our road. We have several children on our road including a child with special needs and the possibility of increased traffic would be a severe safety risk.

In our first three community meetings the church has been very adamant that they had no interest in selling. Now that the church has expressed an interest to sell the property our concerns are even greater. I understand the churches needs concerning there insurance, which is why I support the community councils recommendation.

If the recommendation is ignored I would like the end of Johns Rd that connects with the church property to be closed off and significant amount of greenspace buffers between our neighborhood and the church property put in place.

When a business shares a road with a residential community no matter how small there should be consideration given to there way of life. Allowing for any type of business other than a church would create an unfair burden on our road.
